About

S3S is the doctoral student society for Clemson University’s PhD program in Rhetorics, Communication, and Information Design.

The Society of the Third Sophistic supports RCID students through professional development, scholarly exchange, peer mentorship, resource sharing, and program advocacy. We organize social gatherings, research events, conference initiatives, and collaborative opportunities that strengthen intellectual and professional community across both residential and online cohorts.

This site functions both as a public-facing introduction to the organization and as a practical resource hub for current students throughout the academic year.
