S3S is the student society for Clemson University’s PhD program in Rhetorics, Communication, and Information Design.

The Society of the Third Sophistic brings RCID students together around scholarship, teaching, professional life, and the ordinary work of staying connected.

S3S is an officially recognized student organization in Clemson University’s RCID program and a student chapter of the Rhetoric Society of America. The group supports intellectual exchange, student-led events, resource sharing, peer advising, and community across residential and online cohorts.
